Taking an exam overnight and getting a 91+ (A): Is it a student's talent or a gap in education?
Almost everyone who attended university has a story like this. You don't study for the whole semester, but you study until the morning the night before the exam and get a high grade. Two days later, if they ask about that topic, the memory is completely reset.
Among the students, this is spoken of as a heroic act. But let's be honest, does this really indicate that the student is a genius, or that the education system and exams are just based on memorization?
When we enter the business life, no company looks at the prices we get that night, "what can you do?" he asks. And the system still forces us to study just for the sake of grades, not for real learning. We end up with a high grade point average (GPA) but are completely unprepared for the work environment.
Who do you think is to blame? In the student who cheats the system by studying for one night, or in the memorizing system that forces the student to do it?
Those who passed the exam in this way during the university years, were you able to use that knowledge in your real work, or did it all remain in the exam hall?
I am waiting for your thoughts in the comments 👇
